Engineered for elite performance, durability, and safety, the Irwin Fitness Performance Series Weightlifting Platform represents our most advanced design to date. Featuring upgraded styling, increased thickness, and strategically engineered impact zones, this platform is built to withstand the demands of serious Olympic lifting in high-traffic commercial environments.

Heavy-Duty Structural Frame

The foundation begins with a newly designed formed steel plate frame, delivering exceptional rigidity and long-term structural integrity. The upgraded 3" total platform thickness provides superior stability, reduced vibration transfer, and enhanced impact absorption compared to traditional platforms.

Available configurations:

• 4' x 8' platform (with or without rack extension)

• 6' x 8' platform (with or without rack extension)

Both options offer ample lifting space for a full range of Olympic and strength movements.

Engineered Performance Impact Zones

Specially designed impact zones are strategically placed to maximize energy dispersion and protect both equipment and subflooring.

German Sporttec Rubber Technology (4' x 8' platforms):

• Two 28" x 48" impact zones

• Constructed from (4) different Sporttec products layered together 

• Industry lading shock absorption, acoustical insulation, and rebound control

• Designed to eliminate excessive barbell bounce when dropped from height

Premium Hardwood Lifting Surface

The center lifting area features a refined blend of structural plywood and solid 3/4" oak hardwood tongue-and-groove planks, delivering a stable, responsive feel underfoot.

• Solid oak hardwood chosen for strength, longevity, and wear resistance

• Each wood insert interlocks using twist-lock Allen key joiners for a seamless fit

• Welded internal nuts within the steel frame allow precise alignment and easy bolt installation

• All hardware included for efficient assembly

Moisture Protection:
Every wood layer is sealed with a non-slip epoxy coating that was initially designed for daily car traffic usage, repelling moisture and preventing water ingress. This protects against warping or bowing, even in high-humidity environments.

Safety & Performance Design

• Raised platform edges help contain plates and enhance lifting safety

• Optimized impact absorption minimizes rebound and noise

• Designed specifically for Olympic lifting and heavy barbell drops

Interlocking Extension System

• Wood extensions measure 37" wide x 52" long

• We custom make these platforms to fit a wide variety of off-brand rack setups

SPORTTEC Rubber Impact Zones – Technical Overview

• Material: EPDM rubber granules bonded with polyurethane elastomer

• Surface: Open-pored smooth texture for sure-footed stability

• Underside: Dimpled base with reinforcement mesh for enhanced shock absorption

• Sound Reduction: Tested to reduce noise by up to 26 dB

• Optional upgrades available with urethane layers, high-density foam, or Shockwave 3D acoustic underlay for further force and sound reduction

Important Notice for U.S. Customers (Tariffs & Shipping)

Due to recent changes in U.S. import regulations, certain metal products entering the United States are now subject to new government-implemented tariffs. These charges are not controlled by us and typically equal around 50% of the metal value of the order.

To ensure your order arrives without delays or unexpected fees, we now ship using Delivered Duty Paid (DDP).

This means:

  We prepay all U.S. duties and tariffs on your behalf before shipping.

  Your package will not be held or delayed at the border.

  You will not receive surprise bills from U.S. Customs upon arrival.
  

Because we must prepay these fees, a small tariff charge will be added at checkout for U.S. customers. We keep this amount as low as legally possible by submitting simplified base-value invoices (no extra colors or add-ons included in the customs value).

If you prefer, you may also choose to delay shipment in case changes occur in U.S.–Canada trade regulations — we’re happy to hold your order upon request.

We work to secure the best available freight rates within Canada.

Customers in remote or rural areas may see additional charges; if so, you will be contacted prior to shipment and may choose to approve the cost or receive a full refund.
